Xian is a chibender and an Air Nomad, and a player character in the first generation chronicle, Wilting of the Lotus. She is an NPC in the second generation chronicle, and her status is unknown, presumed dead.

Physical Attributes[]
Of slightly above average height and lean due to the rigiours of Chi Bending training, Xian's most striking attributes are her abnormally pale skin and almost blonde hair- partial albino traits passed down on her mother's side of the family. Her Great Grandmother, Bao Bao, is a full albino and a non-Air bender.
Personality[]
Unusually for an Air Nomad, Xian is a natural leader with a tendancy to be somewhat stroppy. She is very protective of her family and isn't afraid to yell or stare down someone when the situation demands it. This departure from the normal tranquility and peaceable behaviour of most Air Nomads is probably due to the influence of her Chi Bending master Metti.

Xian has trained in Chi bending since her early teens with her master Metti, quickly gaining in ability at the ancient and oft-times ignored art.
Airbending[]
A very weak Air Bender, Xian has never been able to do more than augment her jumps and blow out candles and lamps.
Backstory[]
Xian Taishan was born in the Southern Air temple due to an out of season storm that kept her mother there until it was no longer safe for her to travel to the East or West temples while so heavily pregnant. Later in life, some muttered that it was because of this break in tradition that the girl was such a weak Air-bender despite all the hours of training she put in.
Frustrated, jealous and feeling like an outsider to her peers and a disappointment to her mother, Xian eventually ran away from home in her early teens with her Sky Bison Rulu. It was during this time that Metti, an older Air Nomad woman and a Master Chi Bender, found the girl and made her her apprentice. Unbeknowest to Xian, Maya was also a member of the White Lotus.
Maya trained Xian in Chi bending and the basic principles of the White Lotus until the fateful day of the festival where the Fire Nation's secret sect 'The Flame' attacked and killed almost everyone there. It was only because of the sacrifices of their mentors and other adults there that Xian and a small group of survivors were able to escape.
